Critique Writing

Hello Class!!!

Before writing anything an author, such as yourself, must consider two concepts: Audience and Purpose. To inform, persuade and entertain are the three purposes behind any writing you will do in your career. Today, the class will take a closer look at critique writing and its purpose.

First, you must each read these five different critiques: Watchmen, Slumdog Millionaire, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, The Last House on the Left, and Fired UP. Make sure you understand them well enough so we can discuss them once we are done - by understand I mean make sure you comprehend the stylistic choices the author is using.

Remember, the point of critique writing is to offer a critique, or a highly specific, supportive opinion about an object, a piece of art or something else.
